Sesame Street Groupie

Ever since we went roaming the isle's of the New Babies'R'US at The Summit, and Eloise attacked the everything Elmo isle, she has had a growing fascination with all things Elmo. This fascination has slowly evolved into a love of all things Sesame Street. Most recently, Ernie/Burt and The Count (Whaaa, ha, ha, ha...).

For Christmas, at my suggestion, she received a "Tickle Me" Elmo from her Aunt Laura and Uncle Chris. Elmo now eats, sleeps, rides, and yes even gets diaper changes along with Ellie every day. I sometimes feel very sad for Dolly (her cabbage patch), that was also a Christmas gift. Dolly also sleeps with Elmo and Ellie every night, but only gets fed, changed, and kissed as an after thought on most days.

Below are some of our most recent adventures with Sesame Street...I hope you enjoy!

Hair Cutting Time

The First hair cut = Success. Something needed to be done, but I wasn't sure what or how, but I was so pleased with the result and Ellie looks so stink-in cute! There were a few tears shed (NOT me HER), but we made it...there's nothing that a dum-dum can't cure.

Wiping down the Barbour Shop Toys so they won't be dirty (gotta love this girl)

Had to break out the Dum-Dum's before the actual haircut...distraction tactic

Dum-Dums only last so long....

After...not a huge change but definitely an improvement

Happy New Year! Happy New Baby!

Since it's been a while I have some pre-Christmas, Christmas and Post Christmas Pictures to share. Plus one very BIG announcement. Eloise is going to be a BIG Sister in April!
On the hunt for the Perfect Christmas Tree...

This was my first pick...maybe next year?

We went with this one...
Me and Santa 2011...no tears were shed!

Christmas Morning 2011!!!

And the un-wrapping begins...
Exhausted from un-wrapping, but must get up this slide.
It was finally warm enough after the New Year to play outside.

Halloween 2011

Is in the books! Ellie enjoyed dressing up as Horton and trick-or-treating way more than I expected her to. Last night was the 3rd time in the past 4 days that she's worn her costume. Each time she was so excited to put it on, and each time she cried when it had to come off. Surprisingly she also new exactly what to do with the candy (grab and stuff). Can someone please explain to me how a 17 month hold would know how trick-or-treating works? Although she enjoyed the stuffing part, she also enjoyed the giving out part which I was very thankful for. At the end of the night we had to (beg) some poor trick-or-treator to take the remaining candy that we had so Ellie would come inside.

Fall 2012 - Eloise 17 months

Our very favorite time of year for many reasons, but especially because we get to visit the Pumpkin Patch at Baker Farms in Harpersville, AL. Here are a few snap shots from our adventure this past Saturday.

 Finally...these would be our pumpkins!

I think she enjoyed picking cotton more than picking the pumpkin....

We ended our adventure by climbing to the top of a small hay-stack...A very Happy girl!

Adventures of Max and Eloise - San Juan, Puerto Rico

Way back in March Willie said "I'm gonna be in Puerto Rico for three weeks working, you and Ellie should fly down and join me the last week." My reply "mmm....Only if I can bring Laney and Max." So Laney and I booked tickets and waited for July 31st to arrive (our departure date). And so the first vacation (with kids) is now in the books, but looking forward to many more. Miss you guys already!

Adventures of Max and Eloise - San Juan, Puerto Rico - August 2011

Breakfast with a View
While we enjoyed our coffee the kids got to munch on chocolate muffins
(I mean why not it's their vacation too!)

Beach Time
Note to self: always have one beach bucket per child while on vacation at the beach.
If you'll notice the "Yellow Bucket" is featured in every photo. It was a hot commodity during beach time and Eloise is still learning how to share. She also changed her mind often about which toy she wanted to play with. Thanks for being so understanding Max!

Happy Hour
On Monday evening we were still waiting for Willie to get off work, so we all walked down to Happy Hour at the Hotel.

Dinner in Old San Juan: Raices
The Dragonberry Mojitos are very Yummy!

Laney in the back of the Kia with two carseats. This is how we traveled in Puerto Rico.

Kasalta Bakery: Local Bakery in Puerto Rico
A highligt of the trip. Max and Eloise sampled everything we ordered. And since we were still on vacation they got to split a piece of chocolate pie.

Dance Time
Every afternoon we took Max and Eloise down to an open area at the hotel so they could run around. We entertained ourselves and others I'm sure by singing and dancing.

The End!
